PALE ALE 4/5
Sierra Nevada’s original pale ale and one that is a fan favorite for many longtime craft brew and pale ale lovers. It’s hard to find a craft brew drinker who hasn’t heard of Sierra Nevada or had their Pale Ale. However, with all the new craft beers and IPA’s that have come out since, there is such a variety of flavor. This may make the flavor of the “Pale Ale” seem bland by comparison. However, if you are looking for an introduction into the world of craft beer, the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a great place to start. It is smooth and refreshing. Alcohol content per 12oz. bottle is 5.6% by volume.
DANKFUL IPA 3/5
This one has a somewhat fruity aroma that is mildly reminiscent of grape soda. There may be a hint of grape in the initial taste. The label says “generously hoppy” and it tastes it. Perhaps a little overwhelming with a slightly bitter aftertaste. However, it does go down relatively smooth. A true IPA lover would appreciate the taste. Alcohol content per 12oz. bottle is 7.4% by volume.
TORPEDO EXTRA IPA 4/5
This has “Extra” in the name and you can definitely notice the extra Hop flavor. It has a strong, sharp taste. Similar to Dankful but the taste is not so overwhelming. It also seems to have a slightly bitter aftertaste with a dryness to it. This one, separates true craft brew drinkers from novices. Alcohol content per 12oz. bottle is 7.2% by volume.
COLD TORPEDO – COLD IPA 5/5
This is much smoother than the other three. There is a fruity essence but it is well balanced. It is hard to describe. It is almost as if the coldness is the initial flavor and the fruitiness is the aftertaste or the taste as you are swallowing it. This IPA is very smooth and easy to drink. Alcohol content per 12oz. bottle is 7% by volume.
