TIPS AND TRICKS
How to make a Traditional Half and Half
First, you’ll need a can of Guinness Stout, a can of Harp Lager and a teaspoon. Using a pint glass, fill half the glass with Harp. Then, while holding the teaspoon upside down over the glass, start pouring the Guinness over the teaspoon so that the Guinness goes into the glass evenly. Stop pouring when the froth meets the rim of the glass. Then watch as the Guinness rises and separates from the Harp. This is often called a Half and Half although, there are other names for it as well. Check our video showing the process.
The Correct Way to Pour Guinness from a Can
First, you will need a pint glass and a can of Guinness Stout. Open the can of Guinness and turn it upside down into the glass. Leave the can inside the glass as it pours. Do not worry about it overflowing as the beer will go back into the can as it pours out (if done properly). Then, slowly lift the can as it continues to fill the glass. As you lift the can to the top of the glass, you will see that it looks similar to what you would get in a bar. Check out the video here.
